PRESENTS FOR MUSLIM COUPLES
Have you been looking up Muslim wedding gifts online? Planning to give Islamic wedding gift for Muslim couple in your social or family or business network? You are kind of done with clothes, jewellery, accessories, tea sets and cash. You would rather give something unique, rare, special and personalised, which the couple would cherish forever. Something that evokes the essence of marriage and serves as reminder to the couple to stay happy.
How about buying a frame in which the names of the bride and groom are written below a verse from the Quran, which has instructions for marital relationships.
Marriage, as we know too, is a double-edged thing – comprising duties and privileges, sweetness and bitterness, responsibilities and benefits, hugs and tears, solace and sacrifice. It can either fill your life with happiness or sorrow. It is thus no wonder that Allah has specified verses for marriage in the Holy Quran.
Allah says in Ayat no. 21 of Surah Al Room: “And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.”
As Allah makes it easy for the man and the woman by placing between them love and mercy, it is now incumbent on both to value this blessing, and impart each other the mercy that Allah has placed in their hearts. Otherwise, it would be a tall task to find comfort in each other, which as explained by the Quranic verse, is a goal of marriage.
In the 187th verse of Surah Al Baqarah of the Quran, Allah says, “They (your wives) are a garment for you and you are a garment for them.” Akin to the closeness between the body and the garment, the husband and the wife too should be close enough to one another in order to be able to freely talk about their fears, concerns, worries, anxieties and secrets. Akin to a garment shielding the body from dirt, grime and climatic extremes, a couple should guard one another from their foes. Akin to a garment covering our physical beings, a couple should cover each other’s faults. Akin to a garment enhancing our beauty and grace, a husband and wide should add grace to each another’s personalities. As the analogy of garment has been used for both man and woman, it means both must feel mutual responsibility in working towards marital bliss.
The essence and significance of the institution of marriage has therefore been made quite lucid by Almighty Allah. A frame of calligraphy of an ayat from the Glorious Quran that focuses on marital ties would make for a beautiful Islamic wedding gift for Muslim couple, or a marriage anniversary as well. You can personalise the gift by adding the names of the bride and the groom. You can log onto the Internet and search for Muslim wedding gifts online. Hopefully, with this information, your search would just get easier.
